This does not mean that a student who is classically trained or interested in music of a specific niche will not be welcome to the club. Rather, any student, regardless of their musical background, will be encouraged to join the club and add to the potential for original musical opportunities on campus. These opportunities include forming a band through the Musician’s Network, collaborating with other artists to write music, performing with other members of the club, meeting other musicians on campus, and finding people who share a common passion for music. Additionally, the club will be a place for musicians and music lovers alike to come together in the various processes that the club demands, from maintaining an online presence through blog posts, artist databases and mixtapes, to weekly meetings where aspiring artists present, perform and create new music. Musician’s Network will also aim to network with existing organizations to obtain updated notifications of performance opportunities. In essence, Musician’s Network will be a club that celebrates and promotes student-created music. Musician’s Network will also act as an outreach group to students who already have an interest in music to learn more.

Women in Computer Science
Purpose: TCNJ Women in Computer Science (WICS) began as organization of female Computer Science majors who wished to form their own community of support. Our first and foremost goal is to expand and build upon this community by attracting women to our major and retaining fellow women in Computer Science. We hope to accomplish this through school outreaches, on-campus events, encouragement, peer mentoring, collaborative projects, and similar activities. Being a minority in our field, we are also especially concerned with other underrepresented groups, but we are by no means exclusive. We welcome as members anyone who shares our goals and commitment to recruiting and promoting women and minorities in Computer Science. Our other priority is to increase awareness and understanding of Computer Science as a whole through community outreach programs. We typically conduct on-campus activities that introduce basic concepts of Computer Science to other students and demonstrate just how far-reaching Computer Science can be.

Women in Learning & Leadership (WILL)
Purpose: The WILL Program strives to foster a deeper understanding of gender and its intersections with race, culture, class, sexuality and other aspects of social identity. By connecting students with each other, and to a strong supportive network of faculty, staff, alumnae and community mentors, WILL students develop critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, problem-solving and leadership skills. In addition, WILL students participate in a variety of community engaged learning projects designed to promote positive participation in the global community. This program provides opportunities for women to explore career and life choices in multiple disciplines that enable them to excel and realize their full potential.
